This is the website of the Millennium Forest for Scotland, a visionary initiative funded by the Millennium Commission to help restore Scotland’s native woodlands as a celebration to mark the new millennium. The main project work was completed in June 2001 and this archive website provides a record of the wide range of activities up to that point. The initiative is being delivered by the Millennium Forest for Scotland Trust which will continue to monitor the condition of the woodlands until all sites can be confirmed as viable and securely established for the long term. In July 2002 the Millennium Forest for Scotland Trust became a subsidiary of Forward Scotland, an independent charity working to promote sustainable development in Scotland.
