Boturich Estate is situated to the north of Balloch on the east side of Loch Lomond. This project involved the purchase by The Woodland Trust of 103 ha of mixed plantations and grazing land on a 999-year lease. This property is being restructured and regenerated as a native woodland in such a way as to complement and enhance the outstanding landscape and ecological qualities of the Loch Lomond area. Although the lease is held and managed by the Woodland Trust the local community has been and will continue to be closely involved in the development of the project. |
