This project which links Tarbert and Skipness on the Kintyre peninsula has extended and restored areas of native oak woodland that will support a wide variety of flora and fauna. Non-native conifers and rhododendron have been removed and areas of native woodland are being established using existing seed sources where possible. An 8.4km waymarked footpath, that uses both established forestry tracks and stretches of new path, now provides a high-level link between the two sites at Tarbert Castle and Claonaig near Skipness. This gives walkers spectacular views over Loch Fyne and the Sound of Bute.
