Campsie Glen is a well visited area located in the Campsie Hills, a few miles north of Glasgow. It is accessed from Clachan of Campsie and from the car park on the Crow Road, a high level road above the Glen. This project, sited in a spectacularly steep-sided valley, has helped restore and extend one of the last semi-natural woodlands in the area. 12ha of new planting, 9ha of woodland into management and the construction of 2.9km of footpaths (including sections suitable for disabled access) have been completed. Felled elm trees have been sculpted into attractive benches to provide focal points for visitors and interpretation boards have been provided.
